Rotorua is simple and easy living. We have access to many opportunities here such as our tourism and forestry industries. Many places in New Zealand and the world don't have these so we're lucky in that aspect. The environment here in Rotorua is amazing whether it be our lakes or geothermal areas but even the diversity and range of cultures in Rotorua that are accepted and embraced by everyone (proven on Children's Day). I feel we are a welcoming city, all about manaakitanga. We are lucky to live in a place such as Rotorua with its strong history and many opportunities for everyone to experience, enjoy embrace and challenge themselves. It doesn't matter who you are, tourist or local. I believe my picture explains that all. It's simple but you can also see that there is a lot more out there to explore.
