Hui whakahoki kōrero | Feedback session

We’re really looking forward to hosting you at the hui whakahoki kōrero coming up. It’s another great opportunity for us to reflect on your thoughts about the emerging themes which have come out of the previous hui wānanga. This will then bring an end to the workshops and draft strategic documents will be created from the advice we have received through our hui. So this is a critical opportunity for you to consider the high level emerging direction and to shape the future direction of play, active recreation, sport and open space in Rotorua.

The hui whakahoki kōrero are intended to have an inclusive feel and to provide opportunity for all to participate as and when they want to, using small informal group setting to kōrero about emerging themes.

 The key components of the workshop will be;

  • Overview of the process to date
  • PARS – Discuss draft Purpose, Principles and Values - feedback
  • PARS – Discuss Emerging themes (advantages, challenges) - feedback and identify opportunities
  • PARS – Discuss Aspirations /Priorities and Future approaches
  • OSNP – Present open space maps, discuss access issues / identified gaps and ideas for improving parks
  • OSNP – Discuss potential planning direction

The hui will be held at:

  • Tarimano Marae, Awahou - Tuesday 18 October | 6pm - 8pm
  • Te Papaiouru Marae, Ohinemutu - Monday 17 October | 1pm - 3pm

To attend either of the the hui whakahoki kōrero, RSVP by email here.
