Moving to a new place

Rotorua has quickly become a special place for my family and I. We moved here at a critical time - within a 6 week period - new town, new job, brought a house and first child born. Our intro to Rotorua was whirl wind but an extremely positive one. Quickly the place grew on us. Surrounded by welcoming work mates, friendly new neighbours, a great experience at Rotorua hospital with the birth of our new child etc. Being a young family the proximity to town, forest, lakes and other centres allowed us to easily explore and have new adventures. 6 years on we really appreciate so many of the things that make our place great. Our children have both attended the local playcentre, attend school and a number of organised sports (soccer, gynastics) and informal activities (Mt biking, boating etc). I feel like we have the community of a small town with the facilities of a larger centre - great place, we love it!
