What you need to know

The Rotorua Way photo competition is now closed. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to share their wonderful photos.

There are five categories in the photo competition including a special category for Rotorua schools to submit class entries and win a fun day out.

You’ll need to share your photo with a brief explanation of why the image represents The Rotorua Way for you.

A panel of four judges will select winning images based on creativity and relevance to Vision 2030 – The Rotorua Way themes.

Entry categories

  • Open (18 years and over)
  • Youth (13 – 18 years)
  • Children (12 and under)
  • People’s choice
  • Classroom (To enter a teacher will need to register for Let’s Talk | Kōrero Mai and submit the photo on the classes behalf.)

Prizes

The winner of each category will receive a $200 voucher of their choice for a Rotorua based activity, experience or restaurant/café.

The winner of the classroom category will win a day out for the whole class to the Redwoods Treewalk and Rotorua Aquatic Centre. The Treewalk is limited to children 7 and over so if a winning class is younger, an alternative fun activity will be organised.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 12 April 2017. The peoples choice category will be open for one week after that so people can cast their votes.

How to enter

To enter the competition you must first register. Kids, if you don't have your own email address get a family member to register and submit your entry using their profile.

Please ensure you read the Terms and Conditions for submitting your entry.

Thanks for all your photo entries and congratulations to all our category winners. Keep an eye out for more projects and ways to have your say at rotorualakescouncil.nz/koreromai
