At Rotorua Lakes Council we are committed to ensuring that our local community can participate in the decisions that affect their lives and our environment.
Let's Talk | Kōrero Mai - gives our community the opportunity to have their say on issues and opportunities that are important to them, at a time and place of their choice.
We are keen to hear from our online community on how we are doing, so we can continue to improve how we deliver our online public engagement on the Let's Talk | Kōrero Mai web site
The survey has now closed
Thanks for all your feedback.
Overall satisfaction levels of the Let's Talk | Kōrero Mai platform are:
17% Very Satisfied – 54% Fairly Satisfied – 10% Not Satisfied – 19% Don’t Know
However, more importantly a number of people gave us some rich feedback on how we could improve the way we operate our online platform.
Some of your thoughts are as follow:
More moderated interactive forums with responses from staff or Councillors
Using on line discussions and involving people early to shape decisions
Improve on closing the loop, so people see where their feedback has gone/shape decisions
The current online consultation process is designed for individuals - less suitable for larger organisations responding with research/information, and representing a perspective on the benefits to the whole community. (e.g. DHB, Regional Council, DOC, NZTA etc.)
Thanks for all your time and consideration.
